DO'S and DONT'S with your Makeup.

Makeup is an art and your face is the canvas, so if you apply your makeup skilfully you will have a masterpiece…and the opposite is true. Poorly done makeup can take away even the natural beauty that you were endowed with.As a professional makeup artist, I cringe when I encouner ladies with poorly done makeup and yet with just a few makeup tips they would look stunning. So here are some my simple and yet effective tips on how to apply make up that will make you look beautiful and boost your confidence.

1 .Don't use a dark lip liner .If you are using lip liner use the same color as the color of your lipstick.lip liner should be used to make the lips look bigger not like a clown!!

2. Don't apply blush in large circles on your face.Instead apply the blush and blend it over the cheek bone to give you a brighter fresh look.

3. This one is very common Ladies.Most of us just can't seem to get it right with our eyebrows.

Don't darken your eyebrows too much or overdraw them.Fill in your eyebrows using a shade lighter than your hair color. Gently brush brows for a soft finish.

4.Don't apply eye shadow all over the lid instead try to create interesting shapes with different shades of your chosen color.

5. Don't use a foundation that is darker than your skin tone it makes you look like you have bad sun burn. This also applies for foundation that is lighter than your skin tone it makes you look like a ghost!! Find foundation that matches your skin tone. Try the foundation at the store before you buy. Best way to match your color apply on your jaw line down your neck. Always blend your foundation evenly to prevent demarcation lines.

Step by Step Tutorial for Gorgeous EyeBrows

As we have all agreed, eyebrows are important! They are the window to your eyes and also help to define your face. How well they are done goes a long way to determine how you look.

In this image I show the contrast between a nicely shaped brow and a sparse brow. I think I look a whole lot prettier on the right picture. Eyebrows frame the face and accentuate makeup.

I use M.A.C Deep Brunette Brow Liner pencil and Brow Wand (Mascara Brush)

1. Place the eyebrow pencil on the side of your nose to meet your natural brow line. That is a great place to begin your brow.

2. Swivel the pencil to now hover directly above your pupil looking straight forward. That is a great place for the highest part of your arch.

3. Now swivel towards the corner of your eye. Where the pencil now meets your brow line is a great place to end the brow.

How simple is that!?

Of course there are a million different ways to do a brow, but this basic guideline is a genius place to start.

1. So to begin, take a brow brush and brush slightly upwards and across.

2. Draw both top at bottom line of brow and draw towards arch. This is to outline your brow.

3. Finally, to find where your eyebrows should end, place the brush again at the edge of your nose and then line it up against the outer corner of your eye.

4. Now fill in the rest of your brow. 

5. This is how it looks. You can see the harsh box shape at the beginning of your brow. 

6. Use the eye brow brush again to brush the harsh box slightly upwards so as to give it a soft natural look.

7. And finally, your eyebrow is complete when you can see the difference on the left and on the right.

This is a quick everyday eyebrow routine. However, for a perfect finish, use concealer (that is a shade lighter than you) at the top and bottom of your brow .Blend it in and set it with powder. This gives a clean sharp brow.
